The first guest on the New Year should be a stranger, which will bring a piece of coal with him and put it in the fireplace. This ensures the well-being of the home and its inhabitants. The hosts offer him whiskey and bread or cake. The guest eats in concentration, and then gives the family members New Year's greetings.
