An unusual ceremony is held every year at High Wycombe, Buckingham County. The mayor and city council members attend the refreshments, during which they are weighed in the courtyard of the inn. The master of ceremonies announces to all the importance of the mayor and councilors, after each kilogram reading saying the words "a little more" or "no more", depending on this, whether a member of the city council has gained weight from the previous year, or not. The audience shouted their appreciation or disapproval.
Pineapple and grape wine fits perfectly with a meal, when a tasty and easy-to-prepare pineapple cake is served for dessert. It is enough to spread a few layers of sponge cake with tinned pineapple and pour jelly made from a glass of wine, pineapple syrup and water (together 1/2 liter of fluid).
