Ascension of the Lord
After forty days from the feast of the Resurrection, the Feast of the Ascension will take place. Easter candles go out in churches then, which have been burning during every service since Easter. This day is worth celebrating fruit wine, which matured at the birthplace of Christ.
Fortune telling was eagerly then: the egg laid that day was to protect the house from fire; caught rainwater added to the bread dough was supposed to make it light; rainwater flowing from the church gutter healed wounds and eye diseases.
In the old days, on the feast of the Ascension, the studio was around the borders of the parish, loudly shooting with whips, to select, where the area of their parish ends.
